Youth Health Associates is Utah's best and most experienced treatment provider for juvenile sex offenders, sexually aggressive youth, pornography addiction, sexual reactivity, and antisocial behavior problems. Youth Health Associates also provides treatment services for the above-mentioned issues for Developmentally Delayed youth, Mentally Retarded youth, and youth with Pervasive Developmental Disorders including Autistic Disorder and Asperger's Disorder. Our treatment programs specialize in working with and treating young people who have sexually abused, sexually aggressive youth, and youth with other sexual behavior problems. While it is natural to be horrified by sexual aggression, we have the clinical knowledge and expertise necessary to treat our clients as whole people.
Beyond labels, and far beyond the subject of sexually abusive behavior addressed in our treatment programs, we recognize and respond to the children, adolescents, and young people with whom we work as whole people, in which sexually abusive behavior or other forms of sexually troubled behavior represent simply one element of their makeup and experience. It is a central tenet of Youth Health Associates treatment model that our clients are whole people, that sexually abusive and sexually inappropriate behavior must and can only be understood and treated in this context, and that this idea must be imparted to the youngsters with whom we work, their families, others who provide treatment and care, and the community at large.

YHA has provided residential care and therapy services to Utah teens and their families since 2000, and specialize in treatment of teens with multiple issues leading to their sexually addictive behaviors. YHA is dedicated to helping teens and their families overcome current and past difficulties to progress and live productive lives.

In collaboration with the State of Utah, we help eradicate sexual abuse through the finest therapy and mentoring to create an environment of respect and caring where youth internalize attributes, skills and knowledge incompatible with re-offending.
Program Philosophy
Youth Health Associates is committed to the welfare and growth of the clients we serve and to the safety of the community. We are a clinically driven program motivated by both the Restorative Justice Model and by the standards of treatment and practice put forth by the Network on Juveniles Offending Sexually (NOJOS). Decisions affecting clients are treatment team oriented to ensure appropriate judgment and client growth.

- Responsibility: Helping clients overcome denial and further accept responsibility for their actions;
- Empathy: Developing the client’s capacity for social awareness and empathic attitudes towards victims and all those affected;
- Healthy Patterns: Educating the client about healthy alternatives by not only understanding their abuse cycle, but teaching early intervention and copings;
- Positive Skills: Increasing client’s positive identity, through skill attainment, community integration, relapse prevention, and restitution providing our youth with accountability, empathy, and an understanding of their dysfunctional behavior patterns and cycles.
